Well the first week is over for the 2nd semester of school. We are still recovering from our sicknesses and adjusting to the “new to us bugs” here. Just as if you moved to a different state you can get sick, we are experiencing that now. However our spirits are high. I just wanted to thank Kym and the folks who go to New Beginnings Christian Church for the many boxes of clothes, toys, food, candy and mosquito spray! What a blessing it was! We had it shipped to Denise’s brother’s house in Ca. and we then tried to bring as much of it back with us to save on shipping and customs. We still had to ship several boxes and they are going into customs.

I am not teaching a class this semester so I can focus on the school’s technology infrastructure. Seems like I have more to do than last semester!
We had some new students admitted as well as some that left. We do have a great senior class and I hope and pray that they use God’s gifts in their future.
Thats it for now.
May all you do be Christ-centered…

Sean

These are pictures of me, mommy, and reagan at another orphanage with only babies in it. We went there after school today. It was cleaner than most orphanages we have been to. The babies looked really healthy and happy, there skin was shinny and there eyes were sparkling. We had lots of fun playing with them. One little girl sat on my lap almost the whole time. Another little boy liked pushing the buttons on mine and mommy’s watch, he also liked running and wrestling. Our friend Maryann volunteers there, this is her first year in Haiti too.

The beautiful & very blessed day that Chloe, our first born, came into our lives! We can’t believe we just celebrated her 13th Birthday!

13 years ago, little miss Chloe lay breech in my tummy. Spread out straight, not balled up, no fetal position… her feet & legs straight down, trying to kick their way out & her head nudged way up underneath & behind my right ribs!!

Nothing the Dr.s or I did would convince her to turn. She jumped into this world 2 weeks early & feet first by C-section weighing 6 lbs 13 oz.

We celebrated Chloes 13th Bday at my Dad’s in Ca. It was a special time. Nana (one of Chloes Grandmas) gave Chloe a bundle of helium balloons & then tied 2 glow sticks to them & at the end of the evening we tied those to a line on a deep sea fishing pole & let them go.

Once it got way up there, we could not see the balloons anymore but could see the glow of the sticks. It was so cool & looked just like the rest of the stars but a little closer & brighter, plus we could watch it move & drift around in the gentle breeze. It was Chloes star, as we all called it! Thanks Nana, I know Chloe will always remember that & we will too.

Chloe is such a unique child with a very special & caring spirit. She is such a joy to all of us. She is a very composed, confident and thoughtful young lady. She is gifted with having a sharp yet peaceful insight on how to help & relate to children & babies. She is especially talented in working & playing with children that have special needs.

Now that we are in Haiti, Chloe is the one that likes to ask “can we go to an orphanage today?”. She is blessed with a gift to make kids feel safe, she makes them laugh, learn & smile. They always seem to be attracted to her & trust her.

Chloe is good at building & creating things (anything from artwork, to models, to computer stuff like powerpoints or photo & image editing). Chloe likes to play outside & especially enjoys swimming & spending time with her brothers & sister. She has always enjoyed math & this year is also enjoying her Bible class.

Chloe is a wonderful big sister to Easton, Banning & Reagan. She is fun & is a great role model for them. She has also been a wonderful big sister & positive role model for many, many foster children that we have had over the past 10 years.

Chloe, we are so proud of you! You bless our family so much. We all love you. You have so many people that love you. We don’t want you to be perfect or have to live up to the worlds expectations. We want you to be all that you can be by becoming the person God created you to be.

You are doing a great job & we feel so blessed to be a part of watching & helping you grow into the beautiful young lady that you are today. You are still our little girl & we will always love you.

We hope & pray that you will always feel loved by us. We hope & pray that you find yourself doing exactly what God intended for you to do & that in that, you will have a peace within your soul that lets you live each day to its fullest.

Chloe, we love you & thank God that you are in our lives.

We had a great 13th Birthday with you Chloe B!
