Small World:

Our Fed Ex guy from Kuna was here!! We know Gordon from when we lived in Kuna as he delivered many parcels to our area & we first knew of him from several years back from some transracial adoption meetings.

I just happened to be with Byron Tlucek running errands one morning when we stopped by one of the local guest houses to pick someone up. I knew I recognized him from somewhere but thought I must had seen or met him from around here.

I’ve met so many new people & faces since we have been here, I figured I had already met him here but had forgotten who he was.

It turns out he is a friend of the Tluceks & is from Idaho. Then it hit me. He is our Fed Ex deliverer in Kuna!! I had remembered him specifically from those transracial adoption meetings because he did a lot of the talking & God used him to spark some interest in our hearts for transracial adoptions. Then like 5-6 years later we met again in his Fed Ex truck once we moved to Kuna & I mentioned then that I had remembered him from those meetings. We have seen him frequently as our Fed Ex guy for the last 3 years…

Gordon was here to finally bring home 2 more beautiful children his family is adopting.

It was a blessing to run into him again all the way in Haiti!!

What a small world really!

Gordon we hope all is well with you & your growing family!

Heartline Ministiries Womens Program:

This program is wonderful & focuses on helping Haitian women to learn life skills to help enable them to take care of their own children instead of abandoning them or not having the means to care for them. Their are 15 Haitian women in the class right now. My first day was quite hard (emotionally), as these women have many trials & hardships in their everyday lives. We took history on the women, took their blood pressure & measured their uteruses if they were pregnant.

Heartline has a sewing class for these women. They are also learning some english, proper skills to raise & care for a baby, prenatal care, hearing the gospel, learning how to pray, & all kinds of info. on healthcare & hygiene.

They come once a week for the prenatal class & get 3 hard boiled eggs each & a glass of whole milk. The women also get a weeks worth of prenatal vitamins.

Many of the babies born in this country have various disabilities due to extremely poor nutrition, especially lack of protein, while in the womb.
