it is about obedience. Obedience to God. Whatever it is He asks of you. Their is no big or small. The issue is not sacrifice, the issue is being where and what He calls you to be.

Whether it involves sacrificing your own time, money, energy or plans or even your life, it is about obeying. Being obedient to God is being in Gods perfect plan for you. He knows best always; Even if we can’t see it at the time.

It is our responsibility to obey Him no matter what the sacrifice. Simply obeying God does not mean our walk will be easy. It does not mean that we will not suffer or that we will always “get it”. Only God has all the answers. As long as we obey Him, we are making an eternal investment for His glory, whether we live here to see the outcome or not, God will see His perfect plans through. He will reward those who obey & follow His commandments.

But this is what I commanded them, saying, “Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people.
And walk in the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.”

Jeremiah 7:23

This is from ‘Our Daily Bread’ on September 23 which gives me courage, humility & comfort:

A song by Tommy Walker, “He knows My Name,” reminds us that God knows our every thought, sees each tear that falls, and hears us when we call.

God loves you immensely (John 3:16),
He thinks about you all the time (Ps. 139:17-18),
and He knows your name (John 10:3).

We are taking it one day at a time here in Haiti, (sometimes one moment at a time), as we do not always (or at all) know what we are doing or facing, and at times we shamefully forget why we are doing this.

As we continue to lean on Him, and as He also uses others to encourage us and teach us, we remember that God knows exactly what He is doing and that we are here to obey and serve Him.

As our family serves Christ in Haiti,
