We are so busy with everything but things continue to fall into place.

We are heading into the last two weeks of school, busy with work and trying to focus on all the many things we need to do to get ready for our move to Haiti.

Church yesterday was awesome as we were reminded of how life is full of making choices and decisions and how important it is to be moving ahead with courage.

Decisions and life changes for God can be made with confidence and reassurance that our Lord knows what is best for each one of us. If we seek His wisdom in everything we do, we will feel His peace, experience true joy & we will be all that we can be.

God continues to bless us with encouragement & support towards our goals for Haiti. Praise the Lord & thank you for those whom have felt lead to be part of this mission!!! We are so grateful & humbled by your generosity, willingness & support.

We are ordinary people whom God is using to do extraordinary things….All of us & all of you!!!

We were blessed this beautiful day to be able to spend it with God, good friends, good fun & good food!

Memorial Day Memorial Day fun with tadpoles

Next weekend is our huge fund raising moving sale which is being hosted by one of our good family friends. We have received many donations for this sale & are very excited.

The weekend of June 9, we have an awesome opportunity to participate in a great community event & we will be hosting a petting zoo & pony rides to raise support for our Haiti mission. Their will be many other activities, crafts, entertainment & lots of great food. We will also be educating our community on what our mission for Haiti is & how anyone can help. Thank you God & thank you Wild Ivy Gift Shop in Kuna!!

Thank you Lord for all those whom have felt convicted to serve you & support this mission to Haiti. We are so grateful!

Thank you all veterans whom have given your time, lives & hearts to serve & protect our freedom!!!! For this, we are grateful & blessed.

Praise the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever…..

The Lord blessed us in so many ways this past weekend! We once again feel strong through Him & feel His peace in our hearts. We have learned valuable lessons through our struggles during this part of our journey & taken them to heart. We have been experiencing deep grief, fear, doubt & loss, but through that we now are experiencing deep determination, knowing & elation!

Thank you Lord for reaffirming to us (& our lack of faith) for these past three days that Haiti is still where you want us to keep heading.

God has brought forward several people these past three days that He has been working in their hearts. Their hearts & desires are strong in feeling that they need & want to help support us! Praise God!!

We still need to raise a lot more money before we are able to move to Haiti but God has also provided several fund raising opportunities through different people! We are so excited & grateful! We will be very busy these next few weeks!

Another huge praise, which also made our day bittersweet for a moment, we recently felt strong enough to list our beloved horses for sale.

God provided two wonderful families within four days of officially placing them for sale. Today two of our three horses found their new homes.

Sparkle, the white horse that Reagan is on, went to a wonderful & very excited 7 year old girl!

Sweet Reagan riding sweet Sparkle

Buddy, the chestnut horse that Chloe is on, went to a very special & excited 12 year old girl!

Beautiful Chloe riding beautiful Buddy

These horses have been part of our family & have given us many years of safe riding, experience, joy & unconditional love. They have showed us many days, evenings & moments of Gods beautiful world during the time we have been blessed enough to have them.

We were saddened briefly at the reality of them actually going…. but to our surprise we, including our children, seemed to be completely at peace and content in our hearts.

We continue to see God at work right before our eyes & right in our hearts!

Today at church we had a wonderful sermon about trials in life & how God can use trials to bless us and make us stronger once we are through them.

And of course we know that God is always right there with us in the very midst of every trial in life.

I wrote this verse down today as I read it in the bible: Romans 12:2

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of the world,
but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think.
Then you will learn, from your own experience,
how His ways will really satisfy you.

Onward Christian soldiers…

Wow, some days, this can be difficult. We have truly come to understand how much generous words & unconditional support can be so powerful. Some days, it is just enough to lift us back up and keep us going.

We are still having struggles with negative feedback from what seems like so many people who do not agree with our choices.

But God is good!!! (All the time)!!!!

We have also been surrounded by many, many encouraging people! God has continued to put people in our path whom have walked this journey & people who understand what God is asking of us.

It has been awesome to experience running into people and being introduced to people whom have an exact idea of what all this is like & how crazy it can seem. The world seems so small when this happens… & then we remember what an awesome, all knowing God we have!

We are continually trying to remember to praise God for every bit of encouragement, help, support & moments of affirmation or direction we get. Thank you all who have been a part of this.

If you feel lead to, we would love to hear any encouraging comments, wisdom or thoughts…we need them as we continue to boldly walk this path.

It is our prayer that when you read this, you grow closer to knowing God.

Thank you very much for your time, prayers & support.

We hope you are having a God felt day!

Happy Mothers Day to all you lovely mothers out there! Today we hope you feel how special, loved and blessed you truly are.

Each and every one of us here on this earth was created by God Himself, and each and every one of us was designed for a very specific plan and path, one which is specifically made in the best interest of each individual.

Gifts and talents do not have to be monumental by any means. God can use any one of us for anything, no matter how big or how small the task He has at hand for us is.

We recently read this and thought it was fitting and encouraging during this part of our journey…..it is from Our Daily Bread Devotionals, May 5, 2007 titled Talent Search:

“Dreams of fame and fortune are not at the heart of the search that is truly timeless. That search is God’s own pursuit of hearts that are available for His work in the world.

In Isaiah, the Lord asks: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And then we read Isaiah’s ready response: “Here am I! Send me” (6:8).

God is not seeking the most qualified or talented; rather, He is seeking hearts that are surrendered to Him. He is seeking those who are available, dependable, and willing to be used.

In those lives, God will show Himself strong, and He will be glorified.”

As I sit here during my lunch hour I’m reminded again how wonderful, awesome, and powerful God is in my life. I’m listening to Chris Tomlin right now and and he really states it well:

“What can take a dying man,
and raise him up to life again,
what can heal a wounded soul,
what can make us white as snow,
what can fill our emptiness,
what can mend our brokenness, brokenness,
And mighty, awesome, wonderful, is the Holy Cross,
where the Lamb lay down His life, to lift us from the fall,
Mighty is the power of the Cross…..”

This is the first verse of Chris Tomlin’s song “Mighty is the power of the Cross”
Wow…. How fitting during this journey my family is taking! Thank you for the prayers and support.

In Him,
Sean

God is good! It never seizes to amaze us how faithful our Father is.

As we wait on the Lord in times of pain, confusion & turmoil we come to see Him comfort us and in the end give us peace & understanding as He uses these circumstances to make us more like Him and also to equip us for His glory.

We are so grateful we have a faithful God whom loves us & shows us His way, even in our times of doubt, trouble and fear.

Thank you all for your heartfelt prayers & support.

Wow, today we were actually wondering (not the first time either) why God chose us for this calling. So many people do not understand. Doubt & confusion fill our minds.

We will continue to seek answers…we will get on our knees & ask God to reassure us again…does He really want us to bring our 4 children to Haiti? Now?!? Will we be effective for His kingdom? Is this Him asking us? Can we wait? Can’t we be senders instead of goers?

He has already made the answers so clear so many times. Why do we have so little faith?

We want to do your perfect will Lord…please forgive us for our lack of faith & guide us. Amen

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of sound mind. 2 TIMOTHY 1:7

For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. JAMES 3:16-18

9-12Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven’t stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you’ll live well for the Master, making him proud of you as you work hard in his orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you’ll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us. Colossians 1:9-12
