We have been very busy & eager to see what God has been doing with our plans.

Today we mailed out our support letters!! Chloe helping us

We are so excited to have them finished & on their way to see who God calls to walk with us on this journey. God has clearly shown us the road to move ahead with this next bold step of committing to raise the funds & support we need for Haiti by giving us gracious & wise friends whom have helped & encouraged us for this part.

God gave us the time, courage, grace & means to mail out over 300 support letters! Praise the Lord!!

We pray that God will use each of these people to prayerfully seek out what God wants of them & that they may come to know Him more with each passing day, whatever it is God asks of them. God already knows who He has called to help out with this perfect plan of His.

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Hebrews 11:1

By faith-by believing God- we know that the world and the stars- in fact all things- were made at God’s command; and that they were all made from things that can’t be seen. Hebrews 11:3

Be strong and courageous and get to work. Don’t be frightened by the size of the task, for the Lord my God is with you; He will not forsake you. He will see to it that everything is finished correctly.
1 Chronicles 28:20

Wow! Today God really reminded us again of His presence & direction in all of this…& guess what!?! He used a bike! Yes, a kids bike to guide us! Bike

I was posting some ads on Craigs list to sell some items we have that we won’t need in Haiti. I ran across an ad for a childs BMX bicycle. Our 12 year old daughter has needed a bike for some time & she has always had her eyes on BMX type bikes (she likes to jump with her current old bike).

We have been hoping that we can bring our trampoline & kids bikes to Haiti with us, so we were planning on trying to get Chloe a new bike before we went to Haiti, but the BMX ones are so expensive! (For those of you who know Chloe, she is NOT one to want trendy or high profile things).

Last year when it became apparent that she might need a different bike, we figured that she should get a BMX type bike that would be safer for her when she jumps & does her tricks. I then show Chloe the picture of the bike in the ad & the very reasonable $55 asking price for it.

Chloe told us that she “does not need a new bike; that some children don’t even have a bike” & then said that her “old bike will be just fine for Haiti.” I had other errands to do anyway, so Sean & I talked & decided I would go look at it, just to see.

When I got to the home that was selling the bike, I had been there about 5 minutes looking at the bike, thinking “it’s a nice bike but Chloes thoughts are right, we need to downsize & make do, not buy more stuff before we leave for Haiti.” I then start talking with the owner Kenny & his wife. We get on the subject of adoptions (his 2 kids are adopted & it was his daughters bike) & then they mention that they have friends currently trying to adopt from Haiti.

I didn’t even know at this point that these folks were believers but I felt lead to tell them why we are looking to buy a bike for our daughter for Haiti; that she (& the rest of our children are so willing to give up so much to go to Haiti) that we wanted to at least be able to bring their bikes… something they have always enjoyed.

Kenny begins to open up about what God has done for him, for others & what God can do. I mentioned to him about the last 3 days of Sean & I experiencing satan putting doubts & questions in our minds. We talk more about how God has lead people & been so present & that He will always give us what we need to do His will.

Kenny reminds me of Ephesians 6 & the importance of putting on the Armor of God every morning…& as I’m listening to him, my heart is rejoicing, lifted & filled with peace & certainty! We spent probably an hour together & then we all held hands in a circle & prayed.

Wow! This was all God! Without a doubt! We had never met, we didn’t approach this weekend looking for a bike, our hearts needed encouraging, God asked Kenny to do this & he obeyed so graciously!

We exchanged information & addresses so we could keep Kenny & his family updated with our newsletters. Kenny also humbly sent us home with a free bike! I told him that someday we will send him a picture of his daughters bike in Haiti, knowing that it will be well used not only by our daughter but by many other children that God puts in our path.

After I left Kenny’s house, I felt so excited & renewed. I called my good friend to tell her what God did. I couldn’t wait to get home & share that incredible God moment with Sean & our children!

Later, I also sat down & read through Ephesians chapter 6…awesome as it always has been… but I knew God was speaking specifically to me, especially for this day, Him knowing exactly what we needed to continue to follow His will for us.

Eph.6:10 (written by the Apostle Paul)

10Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. 11Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of satan.

God also gave me this verse today:

Psalm 31:24

Be of good courage,
And He will strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord.

And here is us!!
Sean and Denise

Dear friends, family and brothers and sisters in Christ,

We would like to share our path with you in regards to our future plans. Without us really realizing it before this past year, God has been preparing us all along to be a missionary family.
Sean and I believe that God has made it very clear that He wants us in Haiti. We feel especially drawn toward and equipped for working with orphans, children and youth. Sean also has computer technology knowledge and skills. He also has teaching experience in that.

The Lord has been working in our hearts and has graciously put our final personal concerns and fears in regards to serving in Haiti at peace. He has filled us with courage, determination and a strong sense of a certainty in knowing that He is asking us and has been preparing us to live and serve in Haiti.

We believe our children are spiritually, emotionally and even physically (as far as completing needed vaccines) ready for this calling. God has blessed them with the ability and wisdom to understand this calling of our family and blessed them with a sense of peace and eagerness to follow God’s will in this manner. This has been amazing and exciting to witness!

Through much prayer and thought, we believe if it is God’s will that we could be ready and able to move to Haiti in July or August of this summer. We are looking to commit to at least one full year and God willing, hoping to serve two to three years or more.

We are ready to commit to this plan (and have already done so in our hearts) and begin the next process of raising funds and figuring out where exactly in Haiti Gods wants us.

We have been praying and asking God to guide us and open doors for us in regards to raising the needed funds to move us over there and sustain us while we are there.

It is in our hope and trust in God that He will encourage people like you whom might feel lead to be part of the plans He has for us, you and for Haiti. We are hoping to establish a strong support group; a team which consists of people like you who could help support us in this calling; whether it is by prayer, financial support, words of encouragement, fund raising ideas or any other helpful thoughts that might come to your mind and heart.

This support group will be the ongoing backbone of our ministry. This support group will be what God uses to sustain and equip us while we prepare and while we serve in Haiti.

We continue to ask God for His affirmation in this awesome calling and are thankful for His clear answers. We only want to be in the center of His will…whatever that may be…and to give Him all the glory!

Thank you for your time. Please feel free to share this with anyone that you think might feel lead to pray for us and for the needs of Haiti.

We appreciate each of you, your time and your prayers.

In Christ,
The Blesh family
